OUR ROOMS
Bardufoss Hotel has 58 rooms, divided between five different room types, single rooms, double rooms and family rooms. Single and double rooms are both standard and superior. Our rooms were renovated in the previous year, and we are now finishing the last bathrooms.
Overlooking the beautiful Målselv Valley and the Istind Mountain, you will find our homely hotel in the middle of Bardufoss town center. With only a three minute drive from Bardufoss Airport and a two hours drive from Tromsø, Bardufoss Hotell is perfect for travelers. With great possibilities in and around Bardufoss.
If you are adventurous and looking for excitements, you will find lots of activities and experiences within a short distance. If, on the other hand, you would prefer to have a quiet evening at the hotel, we recommend our cozy lobby bar.

OUR ACTIVITIES
One can find various exciting activities and attractions in the Bardufoss area, both in summer and winter. There are great hiking experiences, superb fishing opportunities, and family friendly activities such as dog sledding, horseback riding and visits from the Sami people and their reindeer.
The winters are an exciting time in Bardufoss. The nights are long, which gives a great opportunity to see the magical Northern Lights. The most beautiful natural phenomenon. In addition to a northern lights safari, you can also try dog sledding, meet the Sami people and their reindeer.

The summers in Northern Norway and the midnight sun must be experienced. Bardufoss is among other famous for their beautiful hikes, one of Norways best rivers for salmon fishing and activities such as dog sledding and horseback riding.

NORTHERN LIGHTS
The northern lights, or Aurora Borealis, are natures most spectacular light show. Norway is one of the worlds best destinations to experience the magical natural phenomenon, and for this reason we receive visitors from all over the world.
The phenomenon is technically happening throughout the year, but for us to be able to see it we need it to be dark and preferably a clear sky. The winter season is for this reason the best time to experience the light show. Are you coming to Bardufoss to experience the Northern lights we recommend that you visit in the period October to April.
MIDNIGHT SUN
Summer nights in Northern Norway are quite unique. In Bardufoss you can experience the midnight sun from the 23rd of May to the 19th of July. The sun never sets in this period. One can therefore hike or go canoeing throughout the night.
Places above the arctic circle experience the midnight sun, also called the polar day, due to the axial tilt of the Earth. The further north you get the longer the period of the midnight sun in the summer. During the winters we experience the opposite, the polar nights, when the sun never rise for a few months.
